Cárdenas Statement on Crosses Set on Fire at Sylmar Church

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, CA — Congressman Tony Cárdenas (CA-29) released the following statement on the burning crosses found at Sylmar Christian Fellowship Church:

“The love and respect in our community runs deeper than the hate of a few who seek to intimidate and divide us. The burning crosses found at the Sylmar Christian Fellowship Church, where the majority of worshippers are Black and Brown, do not represent our San Fernando Valley values. We stand united, and our federal, state, and local law enforcement are investigating and working to ensure the safety of Valley communities. Those responsible will be brought to justice.”
